The Reebok Royal Sandal references the chunky and utilitarian trends in the lifestyle footwear space with a wonderfully fresh ‘Reebok’ attitude. The branding uses the large wordmark, and when paired with this contemporary silhouette, the product has a retro yet modern feel.
Everyone loves a simple and wearable high-quality canvas shoe in the warmer months. This product utilizes responsibly sourced canvas material and has refined stitching elements for added visual depth and interest.
The two samples above were designed in the Core Creation Center in Vietnam. The slip-on is part of a multi-product ‘over-branded’ pack to highlight Reebok’s return to the vector logo.
Both of these products focus on clean/functional patterning and interesting material combinations. This approach allowed the products to remain pure and to be easily understandable - at the same time, they have a lot of depth and visual interest. This product (designed by Rob Guadagno in the Vietnam creation center) has become a necessary product in the Core range. The challenge is to create newness every season. Above are some examples of how the product can change through novel material and pack iterations.
